Who we are
StoryToons, Inc. ("StoryToons," "we," "us") is a Seattle company at 5608 17th Avenue NW #1160, Seattle, WA 98107. This policy describes what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: hello@storytoons.com.
What we collect
Email address. If you join our launch waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. That's the only information the form asks for.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This relies on cookies and similar identifiers and is collected in aggregate. We don't use it to identify you personally. For visitors in the EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, analytics cookies are disabled by default.
Your theme choice. If you switch between light and dark mode, that preference is stored in your own browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device.
How we use it
Your email is used for one purpose: telling you about the StoryToons launch. That means a confirmation message when you sign up and a small number of updates as launch approaches. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
Two services handle data on our behalf: Kit (kit.com) stores our email list and sends our emails, and Google Analytics provides the usage statistics described above. Each processes data under its own privacy policy and our instructions.
Your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you're off the list. You can also email hello@storytoons.com to unsubscribe, ask what information we hold about you, or have it deleted; we'll honor deletion requests within 30 days. Most browsers also let you block or clear cookies, which limits analytics collection.
Children's privacy
StoryToons is building something for kids, but this website is meant for parents and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their email address here, contact us at hello@storytoons.com and we'll delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes (for example, when the full StoryToons product launches), we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
